Job Description:

Upper-Level Position: The CM Lead subject matter expert (SME) to possess comprehensive knowledge of the CM discipline job area per EIA 649 and in-depth knowledge of project management. Capabilities include ability to manage large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance to the organization with minimal to no oversite or direction.

 

Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches. Makes significant improvements in processes, systems, or products. Provides input into new products/processes and implements operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results.

 

Contributes to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results. Works to achieve operational targets with direct impact on the departmental results. Contributes to the development of goals for the department and planning efforts.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Will manage configuration data across all phases of Program Life Cycle using ERP/MRP, PDM/PLM, Document and Data management applications.
  • Support Metric analysis for reporting at a program level as well as a department level. 
  • Must be able to read and interpret procedures required to meet the contractual requirements of the programs assigned.
  • Create, Support and ensure CDRL’s are IAW Contract DID’s, SOW, SOR, and delivered on time.
  • Must present oneself in a professional manner level skill set using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoints, PDF editors).
  • Successfully support CM Audits.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Computer Aided Design (CAD), Quality, Industrial Technology, Business Management, Information Technology, Contracts Admin or related field.
  • Nine (9) years of experience.
  • Graduate degree and minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
  • Thirteen (13) years of experience without a degree.
  • Previous experience with Defense Hardware/Software CM management required. 
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of MILITARY, DOD and INDUSTRY CMDM standards.
  • Must possess one (1) or more of the following:
    • Experience with the Microsoft Suite of business software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams etc.
    • Familiar with PDF editors
    • Ability to pass a government background check.
  • Requires the ability to learn new processes quickly.
  • Typically viewed as having an aptitude for computers and learning new software.

 

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • SME level skill set for administering PDM/PLM, data management applications.
  • ECAD/MCAD file management, Solid understanding of ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5M -1994 or later). 
  • A CM certification from NDIA or CMII organization preferred.
  • Previous experience with Defense Hardware/Software CM management is a major plus. 
  • CostPoint and ERP/PDM/PLM administrative software experience is a strong plus.

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is MIN $103,500 - MAX $192,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
