The Integration & Test Manager (Level 5) provides technical and organizational leadership for system integration, test engineering, and field test operations supporting advanced military GPS and Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) systems. This role directs a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for validating product performance, resiliency, and mission readiness across lab, production, and contested field environments.
This leader ensures end‑to‑end integration maturity, drives execution of complex test campaigns, and maintains alignment with military performance standards and mission requirements. The manager interfaces directly with systems engineering, hardware, software, firmware, production, and program management teams while coordinating externally with government partners, test ranges, and mission stakeholders.
Navigation Solutions products support warfighters in denied or degraded environments. This role plays a critical part in ensuring receivers, simulators, and PNT subsystems maintain reliability and mission effectiveness under adversarial conditions such as jamming, spoofing, and interference.
Essential Functions:
- Lead a multidisciplinary integration and test engineering team responsible for lab integration, production readiness testing, data analysis, and field test execution.
- Oversee development, integration, and sustainment of Special Test Equipment (STE) supporting FQT, ATP, FAT, EMI, environmental, and manufacturing test workflows.
- Direct development and implementation of automated test solutions including scripts, drivers, data processing pipelines, and reporting tools.
- Manage development and improvement of automated test frameworks, including scripting, equipment drivers, debug tools, data handling, and reporting infrastructure.
- Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration with engineering, quality, and production leadership for seamless test operations and rapid issue resolution.
- Oversee configuration and management of complex production lab environments, including automation infrastructure, lab networks, power systems, and integrated test setups.
- Manage data analysis workflows including logging, cleaning, visualization, statistical evaluation, anomaly detection, and trend analysis.
- Guide development of analytical models and tools to predict system performance, diagnose root causes, and support engineering design decisions.
- Ensure test results are clearly documented through technical reports, dashboards, presentations, and briefings for leadership and external customers.
- Drive improvements in integration workflows, data quality, instrumentation readiness, and automation maturity.
- Collaborate with systems engineering, software, hardware, and quality teams to resolve faults discovered during testing.
- Ensure proper configuration control and verification of test assets, instrumentation, and software versions.
- Lead execution of test readiness reviews, defect triage processes, and cross-functional issue resolution teams.
- Provide leadership for planning and executing field tests when required, including instrumentation configuration, data collection, and post-test analysis.
- Position requires an active U.S. Secret clearance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 9+ years of relevant experience; OR graduate degree with 7+ years; OR 15+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years’ direct leadership experience managing integration, test, or verification engineering teams.
- Active U.S. Secret clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with data analytics using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools.
- Proficient with automated test development, scripting, and hardware/software debugging.
- Deep understanding of system integration principles, test architecture, instrumentation, and validation methodologies.
- Experience analyzing large datasets, developing custom analytical tools, and interpreting system performance metrics.
- Strong knowledge of RF fundamentals, digital interfaces, embedded systems, or complex hardware/software architectures (based on system type).
- Demonstrated experience serving as a Control Account Manager (CAM) with full responsibility for cost, schedule, and technical performance of assigned control accounts.
- Understanding of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles, including development and maintenance of cost accounts, basis of estimates (BOEs), work authorization documents, budgets, schedules, and performance metrics.
- Working understanding of advanced data visualization tools (Plotly, Dash, Grafana, Power BI, etc.).
- Experience with configuration management and requirements traceability tools.
- Flexible work schedule but 4/10 is preferred
- Travel up to 10%
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $122,000 - $227,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
