Job Description:
The Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) is responsible for the management and execution of security functions including SAPF/SCIF operations, program support, information security and a focus on PERSEC and PHYSEC. The CSSO implements all requisite national security directives with specific emphasis on DoD SAP Manuals, 32 CFR Part 117, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and other governing directives, as applicable.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain security program policies to ensure ongoing compliance with 32 CFR Part 117, IC, DoD SAP Manuals, and other requirements of all classified programs under purview.
- Prepare Security Operating Procedures (SOPs) outlining customer guidelines and establishing procedures for the handling, storage, and transportation of assigned assets.
- Conduct all security related employee briefings to include indoctrination, debriefing, courier, closed area, program access, CUI, OPSEC, Insider Threat, derivative classification, foreign travel, and routine annual security trainings.
- Prepare and maintain Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs) in accordance with ICD 705.
- Implement DD-254 Security Guidance and ensure program compliance with contractual requirements.
- Analyze and investigate security incidents and violations; prepare internal and external customer reports.
- Conduct annual self-inspections.
- Physical security duties include, but are not limited to, maintaining and changing combinations, access control systems, alarm access, secure area modifications and buildouts
- Maintain PERSEC databases including TALON, JADE and SIMS.
- Proficient in the use of TALON, DISS, JADE and SIMS
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of COMSEC Responsible Officer duties.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $88,500 - $164,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
