Job Description:
The Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) is responsible for managing and directing security related issues for the assigned SAPF/SCIF. The CSSO’s responsibilities include managing the SAP personnel security portfolio. Duties also include program access request (PAR) submissions, maintain personnel security questionnaires (PSQ), managing foreign travel and other personnel security duties. The CSSO implements all requisite national security directives with specific emphasis on DoD SAP Manuals, 32 CFR Part 117, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and other governing directives, as applicable.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain and update multiple personnel security databases, including JADE, SIMS, TALON and various DoD customer-specific systems
- Partner with Contractor Special Security Officers (CSSO) to provide excellent customer service to various programs and customers
- Generate, receive, and track classified visit requests
- Support for the security awareness and education programs
- Act as SAP Foreign Travel point of contact for the organization
- Conduct SAP Nomination Process (SAPNP) and Personnel Security Questionnaire (PSQ) reviews and submissions
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with all SAP PERSEC requirements
- Participate in Government Security Compliance Inspections and corrective action activities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, both security and program/technical representatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Massachusetts is $67,000 - $124,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
