Job Description:

We are seeking a Scientist, Systems Integration & Test Engineer to join our Systems Integration & Test team at our Wilmington, MA facility. 

 

As a Systems Integration & Test engineer you will lead, Mentor, and collaborate with technical teams to deliver across a broad range of engineering efforts including technical proposal responses, systems / hardware test configurations and development. 

 

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Thermal and Vacuum System I&T, including configuring and operating test subsystems within a Thermal Vacuum Environment. They will assist in verification testing and developing necessary test support equipment. The candidate must have experience supporting cross-functional teams during test campaigns for EO Space System Payloads, including environmental space simulation using thermal vacuum chambers. Additionally, they should be skilled in test configurations involving Gimbal, Electrical, and Optical space systems hardware.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Primary Mentor to less experienced Test Engineers
  • Coordinate technical input across multi-disciplinary engineering teams to develop detailed system-level test plans.
  • Apply Systems Engineering Integration & Test methods, standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to complex electro-optical payloads and overall satellite space vehicles.
  • Understand and specify test requirements, and establish the flow down of these requirements across space hardware subsystems and critical ground support equipment.
  • Execute detailed TVAC test plans, coordinate configurations with engineering teams, and ensure test articles meet specified criteria.
  • Support System Requirements Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), development of system level integration and test flows for the System Engineering Integration & Test content. 
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft MS Tools, Visio, Word and Excel.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
  • 8 Years’ experience demonstrating system level capabilities. 
  • Active Secret Security Clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
  • Experience with NASA Test Standards for Space Payloads

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience with System Engineering Integration & Test processes for Aerospace Payload and Space Vehicle systems.
  • Experience with environmental space simulation and equivalent launch energy testing of exquisite electro-optical satellite flight hardware systems.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $143,000 - $266,000.  This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
