Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented security professional to join our Security Team in Jupiter, FL. The Specialist, Industrial Security, will assist with the administration and coordination of industrial security programs and other security activities to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures. This position will also be responsible for performing duties of Alternate Contractor Program Security Officer (ACPSO).
Essential Functions:
- Document Control: Oversee the receipt, storage, dissemination, and destruction of classified documents in accordance with applicable regulations and company policies.
- Guard/alarm interface: Liaison with alarm monitoring facility to ensure security of controlled/secured areas in accordance with government requirements.
- Physical security: Duties include, but are not limited to, combinations, access control systems, alarm access, secure area modifications and buildouts.
- Training and Awareness: Conduct security training and briefings.
- Audits and Inspections: Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits and inspections. Address any findings and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Incident Response: Investigate and report any security incidents or breaches. Implement measures to prevent recurrence.
- Security Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records. To include, visitor control, access control, SuccessFactor training, etc.
- Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of document control policies and procedures to enhance security and efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other security team members, departments, and external agencies to ensure cohesive security practices and compliance.
- Process New Hires and Visitors.
- Ability to lift up to 32 lbs.
- Up to 10% travel may be required.
- Performs other duties as required and assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
- An active Secret clearance, ability to obtain a Top Secret.
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Strong knowledge of security regulations and best practices, including 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and DoDM 5205.07.
- Efficient, proactive, responsive team player with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience with DISS/NISS, SIMS software, and general understanding of access control systems.
- FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities certification
- Industrial security professional and/or Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) experience.
- Able to interface effectively with all levels of corporate management and government customers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Hands on, self-starting, disciplined and detail-oriented individual with ability to work independently in a high-volume environment.
