Job Description:
Duties include managing the development and maintenance of complex program schedules for including resource loading and Earned Value Analysis on our Space side of the business. This position also supports the programs in developing plans and integrating inputs from all programs. Qualified candidates will interface with all elements of the program team to develop and support regular maintenance of the program IMS.
This individual will perform schedule analysis in support of assigned programs and projects. Ensure major projects and program schedules and plans are integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality. Track plans and schedules, perform risk analysis, identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts. Utilize Critical path, Driving Path, Variance metrics, milestone charts, Earned Value Management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas. Ensure compliance with internal program procedures and project control system guidelines per DECM metrics. May lead or participate in scheduling status reviews.
Essential Functions:
- Be responsible for the end-to-end life-cycle of planning and schedule management
- Serve as the point of contact for internal and external customer communication and status.
- Be responsible for oversight of performance to program budgets and communicating necessary adjustments to responsible Cost Account Managers
- Develop integrated master schedules using SOW and WBS
- Performs time-phased analyses, critical path verification and schedule risk assessments to assure the capability of the program to meet their commitments
- Resolve schedule conflicts, develop and implement work-around strategies and tactical alternatives
- Perform regular analysis of program schedules to evaluate program and enterprise-wide resource needs through the integration of all program schedules
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
- Ability to Obtain US Secret Security Clearance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) including Cost or Schedule Integration
- Experience in maintaining schedules across product life cycle, including critical path analysis and schedule risk analysis
- Experience in MS Project and Milestones Professional
- Knowledge of engineering processes, principles, and practices; knowledge of risk management concepts and risk analysis related to master schedules.
- Knowledge of DoD EVMS Guidelines (ANSI-748C), Integrated Product and Process Development (IPPD), and Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR)
- Team building skills and influencing and relationship management skills
