About the Role

This position is responsible for facilitating the process of product and service orders from receipt to order acceptance. Key responsibilities include accurate order entry, providing regular status updates, and communicating with many internal teams like Business Development, Bids & Proposals, Contracts, Program Management, and Customer Service. Essential skills for this role are strong organizational and communication skills, meticulous attention to details and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

 

Primary Responsibilities 

    • Manage product & service orders, acceptance and impacts to the forecast
      • Facilitate order acceptance through the Order Acceptance System (OAS)
      • Status pending orders to closure status
    • Generation of internal purchase requisitions for customer spec builds
    • Product time fence monitoring to ensure timely spec build releases to the shop floor
    • Consolidated Weekly Report Collection & Distribution
    • Assist Senior Demand Planner with forecast updates as required
    • Communicate clearly with cross-functional team
    • Work with the Business Development Team to ensure CRM is up to date and accurate
    • Assist with various Continuous Improvement projects

 

 

Required Capabilities 

    • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and SharePoint (MS Office)
    • Strong organizational skills, analytical, and problem solving skills with the ability to prioritize workload
    • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
    • Team player attitude; ability to develop strong working relationships with department representatives, managers and support staff
    • Ability to quickly acquire sound knowledge of company products and services
    • Ability to appreciate priorities and workflow, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
    • Able to achieve problem resolution through interaction with internal customers and process owners
    • Acute attention to detail

 

 

Desired Education and Experiences 

    • Requires practical knowledge of job area. Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
    • Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
    • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
