About the Role
This is a new role as part of our manufacturing engineering team. This role focuses on leading projects related to the manufacturing engineering team. Working with cross-functional team members, this person will spearhead initiatives within the manufacturing engineering team, utilizing project management methodologies to identify, define, lead and oversee projects aimed at optimizing manufacturing processes and achieving production goals for our expanding factory.
Primary Responsibilities
- Apply project management tools and techniques to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and close projects within defined scope and timeline constraints
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules and resource allocation strategies to support project execution and ensure timely completion
- Communicate project status, updates and key decisions to stakeholders and management, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals
- Monitor project progress, identifying risks, and proactively implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and optimize project outcomes
- Manage IT-related projects, including initiatives to enhance the Manufacturing Enterprise System (MES) and integrate technological solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Study operations sequence, material flow, and product information to determine worker functions and responsibilities so as to guide teams for future improvements.
- Leverage data analytics and statistical analysis to identify actions, projects and strategies that will support our goal of achieving a production rate of 100 turrets per month.
- Collaborate on automation initiatives, including BI Reports, Excel files, and other relevant tools to enhance efficiency and streamline processes where automation can be incorporated
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, root cause, corrective action implementation
- Maintain and communicate the MES Product Roadmap and overall vision to stakeholders ranging from technician to senior leadership
- Maintain the MES backlog, draft tickets in DevOps ensuring clarity in requirements and overall SOx compliance
- Lead technical investigations and resolutions of MES issues
- Apply project management tools and techniques to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and close projects within defined scope and timeline constraints
- Excellent technical communication skills both written and verbal
- Dynamic, resourceful team member that is known for sense of initiative, urgency and innovation
- AS9100 knowledge and experience an asset, but not required
- All other tasks as assigned by Manager or Operations Leadership

Education and Experiences
- Requires strong knowledge of job area.

- May have broad knowledge of project management.
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
*This posting is for a current vacancy. In the province of Ontario, Canada, the pay range for this position will be $90,000 to $120,000.
