About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be someone who has extensive hands-on experience with troubleshooting and support for the MX Series of products. This person thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can manage multiple priorities through excellent communication, determination and resourcefulness.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support Project Engineers in the execution of MX Product development projects
- Repair/Troubleshooting/Maintenance of Engineering owned MX Products, peripherals and support equipment
- Setup, monitor and support engineering tests as required
- Provisioning of Circuit Card Assemblies primarily for NPI development projects
- Assemble and maintain Engineering Development Stacks as required
- Using advanced product knowledge, support NPI, production and CSG activities by troubleshooting technical problems using advanced methods of diagnosis.
- Attend daily NPI and/or production meetings as required and help manage the engineering action list
- Support Engineering lab management team as required
Required Capabilities
- Demonstrated high levels of creativity, independence and initiative
- Strong ability to troubleshoot new and existing MX Products
- Strong knowledge of fundamental MX Product functions: Gimbal operation and sensor operation, along with general power, communication and video interfaces
- Strong technical writing skills
- Good understanding of lean and 5S principles, passion for continuous improvement
- Proficient in electronics lab environments
- Comfortable using a variety of lab equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, other measurement equipment and software
- Comfortable in the rework and repair of wire harnesses and circuit cards
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Meets the requirements of the Controlled Goods Registration Program and is eligible for a Canadian government security clearance
Desired Education and Experiences
- Diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years demonstrated relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
