Essential Responsibilities
The applicant is an entry-level professional with broad job knowledge working under general direction and guidance, overseeing the administration and reporting of quality systems. The successful candidate will support the scheduling and administration of internal and external audits, manage administration of mandatory quality deliverables including operating review slides, analysis of data reviews, corrective action board, and ad hoc requests. In addition, this role will support the development of business intelligence for the quality department. This role will also include the interpretation, recommendation, and implementation of improvements to our quality processes.
- Internal Audits: Support the planning, execution, and documentation of internal audits
- External Audits: Support the planning, execution, and documentation for external audits conducted by customers, certification bodies, and regulatory agencies
- BPMS: Support ad-hoc requirements for the maintenance of BPMS documentation
- CAPA: Monitor and manage the corrective action board to ensure corrective and preventative actions are aligned with closure requirements
- Business Intelligence: Support and develop Power BI and Power Apps for the quality function
- Continuous Improvement: Utilizes quality tools and risk-based thinking to improve accuracy and remove ambiguity from our processes.
- Management Review: Ensure the analysis of data and management review process is occurring on the required cadence, driving and capturing all inputs on-time
Desired Education
- Enrolled in a university degree program in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Able to obtain Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) clearanance
Preferred Additional Skills
- 1-2 years experience in quality assurance within the aerospace or defense industry
- Certified AS9100D Trained an asset
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt certificate an asset
- Experienced working with cross-functional teams
- Microsoft PowerApps and Power Bi experience an asset
- This position requires a someone capable of taking ownership of their work, and managing their time
- Proven experience supporting internal and external auditing schedules
- Ability to develop relationships and build on a collaborative work environment
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality inspection methods, and configuration management
- Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills
