About the Role

The Test Engineering – Software team at L3Harris WESCAM is responsible for designing, developing, and validating functional and system-level test software to support test automation. These are deployed throughout the factory as well as at contract manufacturers. This includes WPF applications, Web Applications, SQL reports and Embedded Software / Firmware.

• Strong troubleshooting/debugging and problem solving skills.
• Strong understanding of what it takes to have a production ready solution.
• Perform code reviews, debug and validation testing.
• Create and maintain documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with Software Development Lifecycle methodologies (Git Flow)
• Support quality practices (AS9100 and ISO9001)

Tasks to be Accomplished

• Apply object-oriented design (OOD) principles to deliver design and develop using .NET / MVC / C# / WPF / XAML.
• Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, views and triggers.
• Interact with Customers in a Supporting Role.
• Work on new Features/Bug Fixes based on legacy code/structure

Technical Skills Required

• Familiarity understanding of .NET development technologies and tools (DevOps, Visual Studio, NuGet, Git)
• Familiarity understanding of C# (.NET Core, MVC, Entity Framework, LINQ)
• Familiarity understanding of coding methodologies, OOP (Object Oriented Programming), OOD (Object Oriented Design), SOA (service-oriented architecture), ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), Optimization (indexing, recursive functions, reusable code)
• Familiarity understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, BootStrap, AJAX, JSON, XML
• Familiarity of relational database development (table and stored procedure design) using Microsoft SQL Server

Experience & Education Requirements

• University - enrolled in 3rd Year Computer Engineering or Software Engineering/Technology program
