About the Role

This is a 16 month co-op term (with 12 month terms occasionally available). You will have the opportunity to engage with engineers from various departments. Your primary task will be to support systems solutions projects/programs and evaluation of ruggedized Line Replaceable Units (LRU). This role requires someone with an outgoing personality, strong communications skills and attention to detail.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities 

Generate and revise systems engineering documentation, such as specifications, interface control documents, statements of work, schematics using our change control process

Develop, document and execute detailed test procedures for hardware and software functionality

Write thorough reports documenting the results of those tests as well as those performed by others

Organize, coordinate and track compliance status of requirement verification activities

Occasionally use electronic equipment such as digital oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.

Support Bids & Proposals activities with technical queries and compliance matrices

 

 

Required Capabilities 

Excellent report writing skills

Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications

Ability to work with many engineers to coordinate interdepartmental efforts

Good understanding of both Mechanical and Electrical aspects of Engineering

Experience with electro-mechanical systems, optic or laser devices is an asset but not required

 

 

Desired Education and Experiences 

Enrollment in a Bachelors or Advanced degree in Engineering or Science program
