About the Role
This role is focused on supporting and enhancing WESCAM’s Manufacturing Execution System (MES) through communications, data reporting and analytics, and operational project execution. Acting as the voice of the shop floor for MES, the Business Analyst will serve as a key liaison between Operations and IT, ensuring efficient prioritization and execution of support tickets, bug fixes, and feature deployments. This role blends business analysis, software testing, project management, and data analytics to maintain and evolve our MES and reporting systems in support of production goals.
What You’ll be Doing
- Act as the frontline support for MES issues; create and manage tickets, support resolution of user issues, identify and document bugs and improvement suggestions, and coordinating support with the Project Lead for timely resolution
- Lead small to medium-sized IT/Operations projects using project management tools and methodologies
- Design test plans and conduct or support testing for new features and projects to ensure system performance and stability is maintained
- Work directly with MES Product Owner to prioritize feature backlog and maximize value/efficiency in changes
- Act as a point of contact for MES bug/feature deployment coordination and communication
- Own operations-related data requests
- Regularly communicate MES system status, progress on tickets, and upcoming changes to shop floor stakeholders and operations leadership
- Use data analysis and root cause investigation to recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives within MES and related processes
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of MES functionality, bug investigations, and user-facing changes
- Proactively identify areas of system inefficiency and work with cross-functional teams to improve usability and performance
- Provide coverage and support during MES downtime or high-impact system incidents
- Collaborate on automation initiatives, including BI Reports, and other relevant tools to enhance efficiency and streamline processes where automation can be incorporated
- Excellent technical communication skills both written and verbal

- Engage with the shop floor providing updates, clarifying needs and changes, and collecting requirements for changes
- All other tasks as assigned by Manager or Operations Leadership
Education and Experiences We Seek
- University degree or College diploma in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
- 2-4 years of experience in a business analyst, technical support, or operations systems role
- Ability to translate technical data and system changes into clear communication for non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience with DevOps and SSMS or similar
- Experience with software testing, test plan creation, and bug documentation
- Experience working with DevOps, Agile workflows, and managing support ticket pipelines
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, production-focused environment
- A proactive mindset, comfortable taking initiative and working independently
It Would Be Great if You Also Had
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems and shop floor operations
- Successful implementation of Continuous Improvement/Lean Manufacturing principles
- Proficiency in PowerBI or equivalent toolsets
- Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) knowledge and experience
