Essential Functions:

  • Design and execute testing strategies for Android and iOS applications and firmware across a wide range of devices (phones, tablets, legacy hardware)
  • Continuously evolve test profiles to reflect real-world usage across geographies and network conditions
  • Design, build, and maintain a curated collection of testing hardware and firmware representing diverse Android devices (phones, tablets, and legacy systems)
  • Develop and implement a strategic approach to device selection, prioritizing based on market relevance, customer needs, and risk assessment
  • Engineering Teams: Work closely with development teams to establish effective testing methodologies, automation frameworks, and quality gates
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes and methodologies
  • Develop and scale automated testing frameworks for mobile and distributed systems
  • Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines to support rapid, high-confidence releases
  • Establish best practices for validation & verification (V&V) across teams
  • Create and maintain comprehensive testing profiles that align with modern internet-adjacent services and online connectivity requirements
  • Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for device compatibility issues
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a 6 years prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience

  • Supervised a team of professionals or lower-level supervisors, assigning work, providing direction, and reviewing performance to achieve near-term operational goals
  • Contributed to people decisions within the team, including hiring, promotions, performance management, compensation, and other employee-related actions
  • Communicated with internal and external stakeholders, including customers or vendors, to explain policies, processes, and practices and gain cooperation
  • Drove moderate to substantial process, system, solution, or product improvements, solving complex problems through analysis, investigation, and experience-based judgment
  • Set team goals and objectives that directly affected short-term department results, applying technical or professional expertise typically backed by a bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience or equivalent
  • Establish centralized testing operations with distributed capabilities across multiple geographical regions
  • Partner with Customer Engineering to identify and prioritize device testing requirements based on customer deployment environments and use cases
  • Collaborate with IT on testing infrastructure needs, improvements, and scalability requirements to support distributed testing operations
  • Develop and manage testing budgets, including hardware procurement, infrastructure costs, and resource allocation with Finance



In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Washington D.C is $96,500 - $178,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
