Job Description:

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented System Administrator with a strong background in both Linux and Windows environments. The ideal candidate will have experience with Active Directory account management, multitasking in a dynamic environment, and the ability to write clear and concise reports. The candidate will also be responsible for reviewing and updating policies, ensuring virus definitions are current, and understanding RMF processes using eMASS or Xacta.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Administer, maintain, and support Linux and Windows servers, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
  • Perform system updates, patches, and backups as needed to maintain system integrity and security.
  • Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions within Active Directory.
  • Implement, enforce, and monitor security policies for account management and access control.
  • Perform account audits and ensure compliance with organizational security standards.
  • Write detailed technical and operational reports for the reporting manager.
  • Review and update IT policies to ensure they align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Regularly review and update virus definitions on all systems to ensure protection against the latest threats.
  • Monitor system security logs and respond to any detected vulnerabilities or threats.
  • Understand and support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for system accreditation.
  • Utilize eMASS or Xacta for system categorization, risk assessment, and continuous monitoring activities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards in the RMF process.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Active Directory account management and security policies.
  • Security+ or any other DoD 8140 Approved certification for IAT Level II.
  • Experience with PowerShell and/or Bash scripting
  • Experience with system monitoring tools and antivirus software.
  • Familiarity with RMF processes for Continuous Monitoring.
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance.
