Job Description:

The Logistics - Material Coordinator performs and oversees inventory activities for the warehouse and operational sites. This role provides logistical support to internal and external customers by ensuring the correct spares, materials, tools, and equipment are delivered to the right place, at the right time, and in the proper quantities to support aircraft maintenance and production operations. The coordinator works closely with the Program Management Office (PMO), warehouse personnel, and site leadership to maintain an efficient supply system and improve workflow, cycle time, and customer service.


Essential Functions:

  • Create and manage demand requests and order requisitions to support warehouse and site requirements.
  • Track requisitions through the full process from initiation to final delivery.
  • Assist warehouse personnel with daily operations, including:
    • Pulling and shipping material
    • Forklift operations
    • Inventory checks
  • Maintain shelf-life compliance for program materials in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
  • Ensure supplies, tools, and equipment are available to support production requirements in a timely manner.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with PMO and other meetings as required by the Site Manager or PMO.
  • Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to address and resolve logistical concerns effectively.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to streamline work processes, reduce cycle time, and improve service quality.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Willingness and ability to work in varying weather conditions as required.
  • Willingness and ability to work assigned shifts and provide coverage where needed.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen.


Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Military and/or aviation supply support experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of military or commercial supply and logistics systems and plans.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with managers and key staff.
