Job Requirements:

The ISR Project Engineering Organization is seeking an experienced Air Vehicle (AV) Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead to oversee the continued development, integration, and delivery of our newly developed fully missionized OA-1K aircraft.  This role requires solid technical knowledge, experience and leadership in key air vehicle domains, including airframe, propulsion, electrical systems, and aircraft system hardware configuration. The AV IPT Lead will oversee cross-functional teams, ensuring that all air vehicle subsystems are integrated and delivered efficiently to meet both company and customer requirements. This individual will also be a change agent, driving transformation within our organization, with strong leadership and strategic thinking skills. 

 

This includes but is not limited to:

Planning and execution of program activities,

Documenting, an approval of program plans,

Ensuring life cycle process adherence,

Risk identification and management,

Overall program coordination during the program lifecycle.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Will lead the cross-functional AV IPT team to execute work across multiple areas, working closely with key internal stakeholders, including program directors, chief engineer, production operations team, test engineering team, and the external customer. 

Work with development and production teams to develop and introduce content from the product/technology roadmap, and to develop and manage project plans, schedules, resource allocations, and risk assessments to ensure on-time and on-budget execution.  

Ensure compliance with performance, reliability, and safety standards throughout the air vehicle development lifecycle. 

Provide technical leadership to resolve design, integration, and manufacturing challenges. 

Support flight testing and validation efforts, working closely with test engineers to assess system performance. 

 

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent experience or a minimum of nine (9) years of experience. Advanced technical or management degrees are a plus. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Demonstrated experience with Aircraft Integration

Demonstrated experience Engineering Execution

Demonstrated experience with Executive Level Integration and Communication (to include internal senior/executive leadership and Customer)

Demonstrated experience Program Planning

 

Position requires an active DoD Secret Security Clearance, the ability to maintain the stated clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.

 

Preferred Skills (beyond required):

Master’s degree in engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Mission System Integration

Demonstrated experience Aeronautical Engineering (electrical, structural, mechanical, stress, mass properties, aerodynamics, etc.); OR,

Demonstrated experience Systems Engineering (including Test Engineering); OR,

Demonstrated experience Software / Hardware Engineering, OR

Demonstrated experience Project Engineering; OR,

Demonstrated experience Leadership - Task or IPT Leader and/or Functional Management

Demonstrated experience integrating multiple Avionics and Missions Systems within a single project

Demonstrated knowledge of FAA Part 25 Certification Procedures and Airworthiness Requirements

Demonstrated Commercial Derivative Military Aircraft experience

Demonstrated knowledge of Supplemental Type Certification and Major Repair/Alteration experience

Demonstrated Military Type Certification experience
