Job Description: 
The Sr Assoc, Environmental Health & Safety serves as the emergency services liasion and safety compliance officer for the Waco, TX site. They are responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring company environment, health and safety (EHS) programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state and local environmental health and safety regulations.

 

Essential Functions: 

•    Emergency Services Liaison/8210 Safety Compliance 
•    Maintain 8210 and 3306 Compliance 
•    Participate in Aviation safety council meetings
•    Participate in Mishap prevention program
•    Participate in Semi-Annual Safety Assessments (includes off site if we are the prime) 
•    Perform Fire Dept semiannual compliance inspection
•    Perform Servion semiannual compliance inspection
•    Laser Safety 
•    Maintain the contractor’s site self-evaluation for ARFF and protection of aircraft on the ground (must be updated with any change at the facility, airport, or fire dept
•    Manage the MOU with the City of Waco for ARFF coverage
•    Perform standby coverage with the fire dept as required by the contract.
•    Daily vehicle inspection on truck 909
•    Daily gear inspection
•    Daily air pack inspection
•    Maintain the ARFF procedure EHS-120 and attached documents
•    Maintain and request waivers as needed to support Hangat, Dock, and Line
•    8210 required focal point for ARFF, Fire Protection, and Fire Prevention for the site
•    Maintain a certification with the state of Texas as a state listed paid Fire Dept
•    Includes annual training requirements and Audits from TCFP
•    Verify ARFF coverage compliance of truck, equipment, personnel, water, foam, purple k, and replenishment supplies for flights 
•    Hazardous Operations
•    Daily required coverage
•    Verify ARFF vehicle compliance through Annual truck performance test including.
•    Speed, braking, maneuverability testing
•    Turret Throws
•    Foam Proportional Testing
•    Dry Chemical Functional Testing 
•    Perform Risk Assessments for
•    Required tools
•    Required Bunker Gear
•    Structure Response Coverage
•    Hazardous Operation Coverage 
•    Creating purchase request for service and repairs that need to be performed by outside vendors.
•    Maintain annual testing on my bunker gear and air pack.
•    Manage the Fire dept training program, verify compliance. 
•    Perform an annual mishap response along with a fire dept timed response. 
•    Sign and approve hangaring of fueled aircraft (along with the ASO)
•    POC for all 8210 Ground Safety Audits
•    Explosives Safety
•    Severe weather hangaring 
•    Notify DCMA and FM Global 
•    Medical Emergency response
•    Spill Cleanup
•    Fire extinguisher inspections 
•    Eye wash station inspections
•    AED inspections
•    Fire Door inspections
•    Fire Safety/Prevention inspections
•    Fire Evacuation Drills 
•    Spill prevention inspections 
•    Storm Water inspections
•    Weekly waste accumulation inspections
•    Issue and manage the Hot Work Permit program. 
•    Run invoices in ARIBA for payment to City of Waco and other vendors. 
•    Hazardous Waste Technician (Assisting hazwaste field technician in the following when needed)
•    Daily pick up from 22 satellite station locations
•    Maintain compliance and Labeling

•    Sort and package expired material from Henkel

 

Qualifications: 

  • TCFP Fire Fighter 1 and 2 Certified
  • 1003 Rescue Certified
  • DOT Certified
  • Must pass initial and annual Firefighter Fitness Assessment
  • Possess a current or able to get a Texas Class B Drivers License.
  • Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) Fire Officer I/II certification
  • Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) Fire Instructor I/II certification
  • Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) Fire Inspector certification
  • Hazardous Materials Incident Command certification
  • Current Texas State Department of Health Services/National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Emergency Medical Technician -Basic Certification.
  • Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) certification within one year.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience
