Job Summary:
Will be a dedicated resource that will participate in all aspects of operating special mission sensor aircraft in support of Multiple Department of War programs including experimental flight testing and operational support flights. The work involves extensive flight planning and work as part of a small team of pilots. Full time responsibility located at L3 Harris Aeromet’s Tulsa, OK Facility; however, will be required to travel to support operations worldwide with occasional deployment times of up to 30 days or more. Typical deployments are 10-14 days. Travel varies but is typically 50% annually.
Essential Functions:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following duties:
· After an initial indoctrination and training period, perform as a Co-Captain on unique G550 special mission sensor aircraft operated by Aeromet on experimental and engineering test flights.
· Safely conduct training and operate the aircraft in accordance with all applicable FAA regulations and DCMA 8210 D requirements.
· Maintain professional standards of conduct at all times.
· Able to work any assigned shift or schedule, including mission support outside normal duty hours and travel worldwide as required to support mission requirements. Subject to on call status with a two-hour recall.
· Must be able to obtain a Department of War TS/SCI security clearance.
· US Citizenship required
Required Qualifications (one of the top 3 with an Active Top Secret/SCI):
· Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience.
· Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
· In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
· Graduate of Armed Forces Test Pilot School (Full Course)
· Airline Transport Pilot Certification
· 1,500 hours PC/PIC time, to include 100 hours as PC/PIC during engineering and/or acceptance flights listed under the functional flight category
· Valid First-Class FAA medical certificate.
Preferred Additional Skills:
· C-37/G550 or similar type Flight Test Experience
· PE and FE qualifications
· Multi-engine jet FAA type rating (or Military Equivalent)
· Shall have a clean aviation accident and FAA violation record.
· Shall never had any designation or ratings suspended or revoked.
· Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license.
· Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen.
· Proficient using MS-Office (WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, and Outlook)
