L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Associate Manager, Continuous Improvement for our Tulsa, OK location. The Continuous Improvement Associate Manager will play a crucial role at the site in developing, leading, and influencing changes in the locations Continuous Improvement strategy, policies, practices, and/or approaches.  Individual will identify and deploy Lean Six Sigma strategies, road maps, and projects within a fast-paced high mix low volume manufacturing environment. Individual will drive significant improvements in processes, systems, and/or products to achieve business financial and operational goals. Individual must leverage strong interpersonal skills, apply lean-Six Sigma knowledge, and utilize a “hands-on” approach while leading and/or facilitating Lean Six Sigma projects/events within the organization at all levels.

 

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Focus Lean Six Sigma strategy and implementation/deployment across the organization (office & shop).
  • Create Current/Future State value stream maps and assessments/gap analysis to identify opportunities for improvement, including deployment/improvement road map.
  • Plan, manage, and execute a Kaizen event calendar aligned to the organization’s strategic goals and initiatives.
  • Identify, scope, and define Lean Six Sigma projects/events to deliver stakeholder value.
  • Present projects to peers and leaders and manage/transition projects through close-out phase.
  • Provide Lean Six Sigma initial/re-current basic, intermediate, and advanced training to leaders/team members.
  • Utilize and apply Lean Six Sigma practices, tools and methodology throughout the organization’s value streams.
  • Monitor and assist project/event teams to achieve established goals/targets, communicate/report results to leaders and within the organization.
  • Monitor, update, manage and communicate/report key performance measurements and product/process improvement results to leaders and within the organization (includes L3H’s e3 Operational sub-function).
  • Facilitate, promote and encourage positive culture change consistent with L3H Lean Enterprise - Continuous Improvement strategy and initiatives.
  • Participate as team member, facilitator, or leader in various cross-functional problem solving and continuous improvement projects/events.

 

Required Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience.
  • In lieu of degree, minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • LEAN certification and/or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Experience conducting kaizens in manufacturing and transactional (office/administrative) processes.
  • Experience implementing one-piece flow in a manufacturing environment
  • Process improvement experience with demonstrable competency in application of Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies (e.g.: 6S, Waste Reduction, Standard Work, One-Piece Flow, TPM, SMED, Kanban, PDCA, 8D, Process/Value Stream Mapping, Mistake/Error Proofing, FEMA’s, DMAIC,).
  • Must possess strong background in value streams and core business/manufacturing processes supporting manufactured product/service to a customer.
  • Must demonstrate ability to drive continuous improvement and deliver valued results.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and project management skills with ability to multi-task.
  • Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Must demonstrate leadership and coaching abilities.
  • Must possess the ability to interact, work effectively with others at all levels of the organization and be a participative team player.
  • Must be literate in use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Lean Mastery and Minitab and other similar software.
  • Strategic thinker, with clear vision to drive world class change management.
