Job Description:
L3Harris Aeromet, a division of L3Harris Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Sector, is seeking a skilled G550 Aircraft Maintenance Technician for our Tulsa, OK office. This role involves performing a wide variety of moderately complex flight line and airframe systems tasks, including avionics repair, troubleshooting, and subsystem maintenance for a DoD Gulfstream operations and maintenance program. Responsibilities include conducting system operational checks, complying with scheduled and unscheduled inspections, and repairing electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.

- Experience with Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with FAA regulations, including the ability to accomplish FAR 91.411 & 91.413 testing using a pitot static test unit, ensuring all maintenance activities meet required standards.
- Proven Field Support Experience: Demonstrated ability to travel to diverse and unfamiliar locations to provide support for flight operations or Aircraft on Ground (AOG) maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient resolution of issues.
- Commitment to Continuous Learning: A proactive approach to staying current with industry advancements and regulatory changes through ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Strong Analytical and Diagnostic Skills: Ability to perform major and minor unscheduled maintenance utilizing computerized maintenance programs, blueprints, drawings, engineering specifications, OEM maintenance manuals, and service bulletins.
- Operational Flexibility: Willingness and ability to work various shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed to support operational requirements and ensure aircraft readiness.
- Willingness and ability to travel as necessary to support mission requirements, participate in annual aircraft maintenance training, and represent the customer during outsourced aircraft maintenance activities.
- Ability to operate self-propelled vehicles such as forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and aircraft tow vehicles, with appropriate certifications.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate (A&P license)
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in corporate aircraft maintenance, preferably on Gulfstream aircraft.
- Minimum of 6 years of troubleshooting experience, reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, aircraft system diagrams, and other technical documentation to efficiently identify and resolve system failures.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain a FAA Class III Medical Certificate.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Extensive G550 Aircraft and Engine Expertise: In-depth experience with G550 aircraft, including line maintenance, troubleshooting, and formal training on BR710 and/or RE220 engines.
- Proficiency with Technical Documentation and Software: Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for effective documentation, reporting, and communication.
- Advanced Avionics and Systems Knowledge: Additional training or certification in avionics systems, including repair and troubleshooting of cockpit flight deck systems and conducting RVSM checks using various navigation test units.
- Effective Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, management, and customers, ensuring clear and concise information exchange.
