Job Description:

This position will require the ideal candidate to constantly develop and become a more involved and qualified inspector.  The inspector will learn the aspects related to this position that the company expects through classroom training and followed up by on-the -job training.

The employee will be expected to use aircraft related maintenance manuals, company manuals and Federal Regulations to ensure the aircraft maintained remain airworthy and safe for the operation in any environment required to meet the needs of our customers. Upon successful completion of training, the technician will be guided through the requirements of their current position. Once fully qualified and confident in their skills, the inspector will be trained to perform the roles of the Logistics and Avionics Quality Inspectors.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Able to obtain and maintain a DOD issued security clearance (Secret).

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Current civilian driver’s license, and be able to obtain and maintain a government flight line driver’s license.
  • Requires Airframe and Powerplant certificate (A&P), with Inspection Authorization (IA) verifiable with FAA.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft technical orders/job guides/publications-read, interpret, follow and comprehend schematic diagrams, drawings, charts and technical publications.
  • OCONUS Operations requires working up to 12 hours a day / 7 days a week, sometimes in austere environments.

Preferred:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of Gulfstream G550 or similar airframe experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years aircraft maintenance experience as an FAA A&P
  • Capable of working in Windows based environments
  • In-depth working knowledge of military (day or night) flight line operations
  • Capable of completing, maintaining, and researching aircraft records
  • Be familiar with 14 CFR Part 43
  • Comply with OSHA requirements
  • Understand a Quality Management System and how it impacts our employees
  • Available to work any shift or split shift and weekends as required
  • CONUS and OCONUS deployments will be required
