Job Description:

This position will require the ideal candidate to constantly develop and become a more involved and qualified inspector. The inspector will learn the aspects related to this position that the company expects through classroom training and followed up by on-the -job training.

 

The employee will be expected to use aircraft related maintenance manuals, company manuals and Federal Regulations to ensure the aircraft maintained remain airworthy and safe for the operation in any environment required to meet the needs of our customers. Upon successful completion of training, the technician will be guided through the requirements of their current position.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Available to work any shift or split shift and weekends as required.
  • CONUS and OCONUS deployments will be required.
  • OCONUS Operations requires working up to 12 hours a day, 7 days a week sometimes in austere environments.
  • Ensure personnel follow company policies, OSHA (when applicable) and best practices for a safe work environment.
  • Understand a Quality Management System and how it impacts our employees.
  • Inspectors may travel as part of a maintenance recovery team.
  • When required, work as an aircraft maintenance technician.
  • Qualified to work with job related hazardous materials.
  • Willing and able to conduct specialty on the job training as the student or instructor.
  • Read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Current civilian driver’s license, and be able to obtain and maintain a government flight line driver’s license.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a DoW issued Secret security clearance.
  • Requires Airframe and Powerplant certificate (A&P), with Inspection Authorization (IA) verifiable with FAA.
  • Comply with OSHA requirements 29 CFR 1910.
  • Other tasks as assigned or needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience OR 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years aircraft maintenance experience as an FAA A&P.
  • Demonstrated capability working in MS Windows based environments.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of military (day or night) flight line operations.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of aircraft technical orders/job guides/publications-read, interpret, follow and comprehend schematic diagrams, drawings, charts and technical publications.
  • Demonstrated experience completing, maintaining, and researching aircraft records.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with 14 CFR Part 43, 65, 91, and 145.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Active DoW Secret security clearance.
  • Experience managing aircraft maintenance Logs and records.
  • 1 year demonstrated quality assurance experience.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Gulfstream trained maintenance technician.
