From long-range covert surveillance missions to search and rescue operations, our MX-series systems, and the mission systems solutions they produce stabilized high-magnification electro-optical and infrared images from airborne, marine and ground based platforms, enabling our customers to see first and act first.

Primary Responsibilities:

• All tasks are performed under the direction of Manufacturing Engineering staff
• Support Manufacturing Engineering in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, electro-mechanical and electro optical manufacturing issues.
• Create and maintain documentation to support manufacturing changes, including assembly procedures, Work Instructions and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) authoring.
• Attend and provide responses to daily cell standup meetings.
• Maintain and improve manufacturing processes and procedures for WESCAM products.  This includes control plans, tooling and test procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance documentation for manufacturing, assembly and/or testing equipment.
• Design of jigs and fixtures for new processes.
• Operate and maintain 3D printing systems.
• Track projects actions and status.
• Time studies
• Attend project meetings and record action items.
• Develop dashboards and data visualizations using SharePoint and PowerBI
• Management of small-scale projects.

Required Capabilities:

• Able to read and understand Mechanical drawings and Electrical schematics.
• Experience using SolidWorks, Composer and AutoCAD an asset
• Programming using C#, Matlab, Labview and/or Windows Presentation Foundation an asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a pressured and highly dynamic environment.
• Organized, efficient, and able to multi-task to meet tight deadlines.
• Punctual, reliable, and follows up on action items.
• Works well as part of a team
• Good listener and quick learner
• Problem solving skills
• Experience leading small teams or groups
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications
• Strong programming skills in C#, Labview, and/or Matlab
• Familiarity with Solidworks, or other 3D cad systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Apps and Sharepoint an asset

Required Education:

• University - enrolled in 3rd year Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering program
