Primary Responsibilities
- Monitor Point of Use inventory accuracy, investigating and correcting any inaccuracies in a proactive manner, and supporting the Cycle Counter in the investigation of any inventory anomalies as required
- Provide customer service at the stores wicket including completion of inventory transactions
- Managing incoming inventory from receiving including transacting new material receipts, customer returns/customer furnished equipment, and invoice receiving requests
- Daily report running, creation of manufacturing orders and order picking
- Monitor and facilitate where possible, workflow and communication between Production Cells and other relevant departments
- Responsible for supporting and completing all WIP counts (i.e. monthly and yearly)
- Material handling
- Receiving Kanban material from suppliers
- Stock/process audits and variance investigation
- Maintaining a high level of Inventory Accuracy
Required Capabilities
- Familiar with Lean Manufacturing concepts
- Demonstrated knowledge of MRP
- Experience working with a perpetual computerized inventory management system
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving and investigative ability
- Strong communications skills including building strong relationships with people at all levels
- Be able to meet the physical demands-prolonged standing, occasionally climbing small ladders, carrying and lifting 15kgs
Desired Education and Experiences
- Post Secondary Education in Operations Management APICS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with a particular strength using Microsoft Excel
- Commitment to change using a continuous improvement approach
- CPIM designation or working towards
- 2 years of experience in inventory control
