What the role will involve

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

  • Ensure that projects and programs adhere with established controls and processes
  • Maintain and update project performance analyses to ensure understanding of project financials within the Project Management community
  • Ensure a consistent methodology is applied across all programs in relation to contingency, risk and their connection to milestones
  • Support relevant bids to assist in preparing financial analysis and applying financial acumen
  • Work with finance team to ensure correct billing and application of transactions to relevant projects and programs
  • Operate the monthly close routine for projects ensuring accurate and timely information is fed into the process
  • Provide support for periodic external and internal audits, from project overview to financial reports and reconciliations
  • Adhere to all financial reporting requests and deadlines in respect of the transactions and reporting driven from projects
  • Strong ability to navigate business processes and procedures

 

What you’ll bring

The role requires the following experience and skills:

  • Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant with recognised accountancy qualification
  • 5+ years of experience with EVM, financial reporting and internal/customer reporting
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the capability to interface and present with internal and external customers and form a strong business partnership with key programme leaders
  • Self-motivated, including the ability to work with people of all levels of the business
  • Self-starter with the ability to proactively solve complex problems and issues in a timely manner and with limited supervision.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed environment
  • Must have good organisational skills and be capable of prioritising and executing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
