About this opportunity and L3Harris UK
From 11 UK sites, our team of nearly 1,000 people delivers unique capabilities across space, air, land, sea and cyber for military, security and commercial customers across the UK and worldwide.
L3Harris in Tewkesbury is our HQ for our Intelligence & Cyber International division. Our cyber capabilities provide an information advantage in the fields of kinetic conflict, cyber warfare, force protection and counterterrorism.
We are seeking graduates with a technical curiosity for digital signal processing, cryptography and secure communications systems to join our Engineering team and work on a variety of Information Resilience and Electronic Warfare projects. Reporting to one of our Engineering Leads, you will take a key role in FPGA development activities for key engineering development programmes working as part of a project team of cross-functional engineers.
In this role you will learn cutting edge algorithms and translate them into digital designs, meeting the high-speed processing demands of secure packet based high speed comms links and digital signal processing at peak RF frequencies. To do this, you will learn the FPGA design process by using VHDL for describing electronics in a hardware description language, functionally test them then use the FPGA toolset to synthesise your electronic designs for testing on real hardware.
