Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead (Level 5) Full-stack Software Engineer and Architect for leading a team for developing electronic warfare software and systems.
This role requires a candidate for leading the software development of an Electronic Warfare data capture, processing, and management system. Prior experience with full-stack development is required with a background in developing on-premise enterprise systems.
Close coordination with systems engineering, end users, and other disciplines is required to shape requirements, guide development, and architect solutions that solve real-world problems in the Electronic Warfare data management domain. Assistance with proposal development and estimation may also be required. International travel may be necessary to meet end-users and customers.

Essential Functions:
- Full stack development
o Web service development and integration
o Database integration and query implementation
o Frontend layout and service integration
- Leading, managing, and mentoring teams of junior, full-stack software engineers
o Interfacing with systems engineering, program management, and stakeholders
o Developing software architecture and high-level designs
o Designing private cloud deployment architecture and documentation
o Decomposing software requirements into discrete actionables
o Implementing agile Scrum process and acting as Scrum Master
o Delegation of detailed designs and implementations
o Mentoring other engineers on software design principles and software system designs
o Developing core framework components
- Interfacing with systems engineering, end users, and customers to understand, interpret, document, plan, and execute requirements
- International travel may occasionally be required (2-5%)
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience in full-stack development. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience in full-stack development. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience in full-stack development.
- 9+ years of industry experience, in roles of increasing responsibility
- 5+ years of industry experience leading teams
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with C/C++ and technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services (AWS), AngularJS, Angular, CesiumJS, Typescript, Java SE and EE, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or automated deployment technologies
- Understanding of geospatial concepts and applications
- Background in DevOps (automated scanning, testing, deployment, monitoring, etc.)
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering tools such as Cameo System Modeler
- Familiarity with big data and AI/ML concepts
- Expertise in full stack development using Python, Java, JavaScript, and frontend frameworks, such as Angular or React
- Expertise in Linux deployment, usage, development, and scripting
- Ability to create, manage, and interface to SQL databases
- Familiarity with UML, SysML, or other modeling/diagraming tools
- Experience with Git and software baseline version control systems
- Experience with the setting up and use of virtual machines, networks, etc.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, services and basic troubleshooting
