Job Description:
Reporting to the Sr. Sales Director - North America, the Regional Sales Director holds a key position that requires a dynamic individual who is knowledgeable and passionate about Mission Critical Public Safety Communications. This individual will be a strong positive leader, highly customer focused, efficient, and results oriented.
This role will be responsible for leading the Direct Sales Team in the Southeast, US market covering Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. This role will be responsible, but not limited to the following:
- Provide leadership to the regional team, helping them be successful.
- Drive, coach and mentor the regional team on prospecting for net new customers.
- Create, nurture and respond to sales opportunities with regional team members and help close sales opportunities.
- Establish quarterly and annual sales objectives for all territories within the Region in coordination with the Senior Sales Director North America.
- Promote and sell L3Harris PSPC solutions, products and services through direct customer contact within the assigned geographic territory as well as the Indirect Channel Partner.
- Work with team to maintain CRM opportunities and regularly discipline track sales activities with all channels.
- Supervise and manage the Regional Sales team for successful performance of job duties as detailed in the respective job description.
- Oversee and manage the sale of products and services within the specified territory.
- Provide feedback from end user customer requirements to engineering and operations departments to help implement product improvements and new product releases.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Approximately 50-75% of regional travel is required. Majority of travel within the territory, but some national & international air travel can be expected for tradeshows and sales conferences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 12 years prior experience, Graduate Degree with 10 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Land Mobile Radio (LMR) experience preferred
- Advanced business knowledge, general management and leadership capability to lead business area or functional teams
- Broad experience across multiple related professional disciplines within the organization, combining theory, past practical experience and the organization’s business practices
- Requires ability to influence senior leadership regarding matters of strategic importance to the function or organization
- Work requires a high degree of responsibility for resources, and frequently influences business decisions made by leadership
- Experience managing large complex deals with protracted procurement processes consisting of multiple decision makers, multiple competitors, and requiring multiple levels of approval
- Experience managing the dealer experience, from both a sales and service delivery perspective
- Experience leading a sales team responsible for capturing complex pursuits and growing existing business
- Experience building a team and advancing talent within the organization
- Experience building a business strategy and converting it into an executable plan
- Experience executing consistent, proven account, territory and region growth
- Experience managing a P&L a plus
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $136,000 - $253,000. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $146,000 - $271,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
