Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr Global Payroll Manager to lead our payroll operations across multiple regions. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of international payroll processes, compliance requirements, and a proven ability to manage a complex global payroll function.


Essential Functions:

  • Oversee Global Payroll Operations:
      • Manage the end-to-end payroll process for all employees across multiple countries.
      • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll, including salaries, benefits, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
        • Maintain compliance with all applicable local, state, national, and international payroll and tax regulations.
        • Prepare and submit accurate tax filings and other compliance reports to relevant authorities.
  • Vendor Management:
      • Manage relationships with external payroll service providers and ensure adherence to service level agreements.
      • Evaluate and select payroll vendors as needed to support international payroll operations.
  • Process Improvement:
      • Develop, implement, and continuously improve payroll processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
      • Lead payroll system upgrades and implementations to ensure robust and scalable payroll operations.
  • Team Leadership:
      • Lead, mentor, and develop the payroll team, ensuring high levels of performance and professional growth.
      • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the payroll team.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
      • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Legal, and other departments to ensure alignment and integration of payroll processes with overall business objectives.
      • Address and resolve any payroll-related issues or discrepancies promptly and effectively.
  • Financial Acumen:
          • Budgeting and Forecasting: Ability to manage payroll budgets, forecast payroll expenses, and report on financial metrics.
          • Cost Management: Understanding of cost control measures and how payroll impacts the financial health of the organization.

  • Audits and Internal Controls:
      • Conduct regular audits of payroll procedures to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
      • Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard the integrity of payroll data.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in payroll management, with at least 3-5 years managing international payroll operations.


Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Proven experience with global payroll software and systems; experience with [Specific Payroll System] is a plus.
  • Certified Payroll Professional or Global Payroll Management Certification
  • Peoplesoft, Deel, ADP Smart Compliance experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of global payroll practices, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $120,500-$223,500. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $105,000-$195,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
