Job Description:  

L3Harris is seeking a detail-oriented intern to support the Communications team and play a role in the development of messaging and communications materials. As part of a dynamic organization, this role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with the team to execute communications strategies in alignment with company announcements, integrated campaigns and initiatives.

Essential Functions:

Write, edit, and publish content across channels, including email, newsletters, intranet, and digital platforms

Research and prepare briefing materials, background documents, and Q&A content

Assist with media tracking, communications metrics, engagement reporting, and related analysis

Maintain communications tools and platforms, including intranet pages, SharePoint sites, distribution lists, and editorial calendars

Monitor communications trends and recommend process or content improvements

Collaborate with communications, marketing, public relations, and internal stakeholders to support key initiatives

Manage multiple assignments while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality

Qualifications:

Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in public relations, communications, radio/television, Journalism, or related field

Preferred Additional Skills:

Knowledge of AP Stylebook guidelines

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Previous experience with collaboration tools such as SharePoint
Previous experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry

PAY TRANSPARENCY: In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $21.00 - $41.50 per hour. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $18.50 - $36.50 per hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
