Job Description:
As a member of the Corporate Strategy and Development team, you play an important role in shaping the strategic direction of the company, with a strong focus on supporting strategic growth initiatives, mergers& acquisitions (M&A), divestitures, strategic partnerships and minority investments.
- Position requires excellent analytical abilities, a strategic mindset, executive level function (regularly interacting with senior leaders at the Company) and a results-driven attitude
- Ideal candidate would have a keen awareness and acumen around disruptive technologies, emerging trends and innovations, and leveraging this information to understand competitive landscapes, business/market positioning and long-term value drivers/return potential of existing and novel assets
- The Corporate Strategy and Development Specialist will take pride in clearly communicating complex information to any audience, with deliverables regularly presented to senior leaders across the Company and the Board of Directors. Attention to detail is paramount.
- Candidate should have a history of success in fast-paced environments and adapt to changing directives, as the team supports Company executives on tight schedules with some of their most demanding business challenges and opportunities
- Ideal candidate should enjoy partnering with senior business leaders across the Company to align on project objectives, plans and resources, with the ability to influence others without having necessary authority
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Supports L3Harris’ annual Strategic Plan process through research, analysis and presentation of findings and recommendations
- Drives M&A workstreams, including due diligence, valuation, financial modeling, sign-to-close efforts and initial integration/separation actions
- Lead development of financial models (DCF; accretion/dilution; etc.) and the production of fact-based, logical analyses, with thoughtful hypotheses with insightful conclusions and recommendations.
- Liaises, collaborates and maintains strong working relationships with key personnel from each business segment
- Manages the collection, analysis and presentation of data in support of projects, including, but not limited to, the Annual Strategic Plan, emerging trends and technologies, domestic and international markets, R&D, strategic and operational metrics, M&A valuations, acquisitions and divestitures
- Assists with the development and implementation of corporate and business segment strategic growth initiatives
- Travel up to 20%
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, and/or Economics or related quantitative field and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a similar role, and/or a highly analytical/strategic business support role (e.g., planning, finance, accounting or consulting)
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or MBA in process
- Professional Services/Consulting experience
- Aerospace & Defense industry experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint skills
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
- Results-oriented, takes the initiative mentality
- Demonstrates a highly analytical work ethic/approach
- Strong project management skills, including demonstrated ability to think end-to-end and manage multiple priorities/projects simultaneously
- A fast learner with the ability to take initial direction and self-manage to complete assignments on time and to expectations

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $75,500 - $140,000. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $87,000-$161,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
