Job Description: L3Harris is seeking a Logistics Engineering Specialist to support the growing product portfolio in our Sterling, VA location. Individual will provide program support in asset management, obsolescence mitigation, inspection of components, and support of training events.
Essential Functions:
- Support an efficient PHS&T system which introduces minimal organizational delay time or errors, and results in material shipments at the "right place at the right time", thus improving system availability and lowering overall life cycle cost
- Interface daily with PHS&T Lead and Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) to ensure all SMD PHS&T needs are being met
- Perform asset and equipment audits on customer and company owned property as directed
- Identify, plan, and report the availability and usability of packing materials to PHS&T Lead and/or IPTL
- Process, track, and close-out the shipment of products to and from customer sites, the depot, and possibly OEMs
- Monitor and track the movement of supplies from the stock rooms to operational support in the field
- Support depot specific operations as directed
- Must have excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Assist in innovating the strategies for tracking program assets and spare parts to maximize efficiency
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Active TS/SCI w/ CI Poly required
- Ability to lift 45 lbs
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Sunflower EAM Tool Experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office and computer proficiency
- Forklift certified
- Must be detail-oriented and organized
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $86,500 - $160,500.This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
