Job Description:

Responsible for safe and effective instrumentation and data recording during rocket engine testing, as well as troubleshooting and repair of anomalies. This position works in concert with related disciplines, contractors, and customers to ensure the successful testing of L3Harris products.

Essential Functions:

  • Supports the installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of pressure, temperature, flow, vibration, and related measurements.
  • Understands basic operation of various sensor types and recording methods.
  • Works with Quality, Engineering, and Safety organizations to achieve common goals.
  • Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
  • Recommends enhancements to systems and processes.
  • Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects.
  • Works under general supervision.
  • Ability to obtain a NASA Personal Reliability Program (PRP) clearance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strength in teaming and collaboration.
  • Experience working in a testing environment.
