Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with the manufacturing, assembly, and testing of RS25 rocket engines, component subassemblies, including Low Pressure Fuel and Lox pump assemblies in our class 100K clean room.
Essential Functions:
- Perform functions associated with all manufacturing operations to include working with engineers and quality teams.
- Maintain 100K class clean room standards to ensure a contamination-free environment.
- Conduct assembly and reworks related to the RS-25 engine production of components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
- Utilize precision measuring devices such as inside/outside calipers, digital force gauges, micrometers, microscopes, borescopes, and Micro-Hite gages.
- Very familiar with calibrated equipment such as torque wrenches, digital multi-meters, parallel bars, pressure gauges, and vacuum systems.
- Assist in developing methods and procedures to help improve the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
- Follows established processes to complete tasks.
- Must be well versed in FOE / FOD, 6S, tool control, and lean processes.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Technical certifications or associate degree in a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing assembly and testing environment, preferably within the aerospace or similar high-precision industry.
- Class 100K clean room experience with a strong understanding of clean room standards and protocols.
- Experience with Laminar Flow bench operation.
- Proven ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and workmanship skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with engineers and quality teams.
- Strong mechanical assembly understanding.
