Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Information Technology Senior Systems Administrator or Mid-to-Senior Level Systems Engineer to join our highly skilled and diverse team. This position is 100% on-site at a customer location and requires an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph, a CompTIA Security+ CE (or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification), and relevant experience in both systems administration and systems engineering. The ideal candidate will be capable of supporting and maintaining mission-critical IT systems in a fast-paced, secure environment. Networking experience, including knowledge of LAN/WAN infrastructure, switches, routers, and firewalls, is highly desirable.

As a Senior Systems Administrator or Mid-Senior Level Systems Engineer, you will work with a diverse, energetic, and highly collaborative technical team to identify and resolve issues with production operational systems in a secure environment. In this role, you will also contribute to the development and deployment of leading-edge technologies that deliver mission-critical solutions for our customers. Your responsibilities will include technical planning, concept of operations definition, requirements elicitation and derivation, and comprehensive analyses throughout the system development lifecycle. Additionally, you will perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition within a model-based systems engineering environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Strengthen our in-place Specialized IT team in handling technical issues with secure advanced KVM and video display systems in an operations environment.
  • Maintain operational Windows/Linux combined Active Directory environments with full security software suite, file servers, and other administrative servers in virtual, on-prem, and/or hybrid environments.
  • Develop, assess, and maintain CONOPs and Interface control documents from customer / product requirements.
  • Support full system development lifecycle conceptualizing, designing, product requirements installation, operations, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Interact with program managers and customers to define approaches and strategies.
  • Manage multiple complex projects of varying sizes to completion.
  • Provide support for security software tools to address vulnerabilities, updates, patches.
  • Lead trade studies to identify solutions which meet requirements.
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Ensure the logical and systemic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions which meet technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Collaborate with technical team to provide O&M support to operational systems.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent people skills to include collaborating in a multi-disciplinary.
  • Up to 10% travel may be required.
  • This position is on-site with no remote work.
  • Other duties as required to support the program.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI w Poly Security Clearance.
  • Current Security+ CE or equivalent.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Windows and Linux experience (troubleshooting, configuring, building, securing).
  • Desktop and server troubleshooting experience.
  • Audio Visual and KVM experience.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $104,500 - $193,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as the final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
