Job Description:
The Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) will support the Facility as the primary point of contact for all Special Access Programs (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) initiatives. Able to brief all levels of leadership, internal and external customers, vendors, subcontractors, and consultants to provide onsite support to the site’s security program. Looking for someone with the ability to work autonomously on complex assignments, while resolving issues. In addition to CPSO duties, this role will have additional duties providing support for data transfers, document control, and classified inventories for many programs. The CPSO will assist in managing sensitive information, safeguarding, tracking and auditing of all classified material. Identify process gaps and work with the Facility Security Officer and other cross functional departments to initiate process improvement. This position will support many of the current classified contracts requiring backup security personnel for industrial security.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure program compliance with DoD and Intelligence Community security directives.
- Able to assist with new construction projects for classified areas and certification process.
- Improve or create processes to achieve impactful enhancements to security operations.
- Responsible for security projects requiring problem solving skills and innovative solutions.
- Conduct security reviews, self-inspections, and internal audits.
- Develop and create corrective action plans (CAPS) and procedures using ICD 705 standards.
- Understands how to identify process or policy gaps and help create solutions.
- Strong knowledge of processing personnel security clearances, verifying visitor eligibility, and handling visit requests.
- Assists with document control; maintaining accountability of classified material, including storage, transmission reproduction, destruction, and performing spot checks on safes.
- Coordinates security education, briefing, debriefings, remedial training.
- Experience documenting security infractions, violations, conducting investigations, drafting incident reports.
- Liaison between program personnel and security department.
- Strong knowledge of contracts, contract close out process and writing DD254s.
- Participates as a team member in the local Crisis Management team, site leadership, insider threat local counsel and safety committee.
- Light travel is required locally to military installations requiring Two Person Integrity.
- Will require work to exceed 9hrs a day/40hrs a week frequently.
- Must be able to obtain a US security clearance as a job required.
Required Qualifications:
- Current TS/SCI w/ SAP clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years’ experience; or 2 years post-secondary/associate degree with 4 years of prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must have experience with Scattered Castles, Talon, JADE,
- Experience with COMSEC accounts and KMI systems.
- Experience with classified construction projects and certifying process.
- Knowledge of CUI, ITAR, EAR and export control regulations
- Familiarity with security management systems such as DISS, NISS, NBIS, eAPP, SIMS, SWFT.
- Experience supporting COMSEC, Physical Security, Information Assurance; Document control.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $88,000 - $164,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
