Job Description:

The Specialist Planner interfaces with multiple departments and organizations and is primarily responsible for ensuring project deliverables are completed on schedule. A successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:

Essential Functions:

  • Communicate, Coordinate, and Negotiate workflow through multiple work centers via various functional organizations to secure needed resources while ensuring changing customer demands, and schedule deadlines are met.
  • Expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.
  • Monitor order status, including material status, managing WIP areas, location accuracy, inventory discrepancies, manufacturing and program support, and communication support.
  • Ensure availability of materials to meet production requirements and delivery commitments. Works to resolve material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.
  • Leads stand up production meetings to capture status and report out any issues.
  • Advises program management on scheduling timelines.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Security clearance.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Top Secret clearance preferred.
  • Requires knowledge of production planning.
  • Knowledge of project management.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems is preferred.
  • Production planning experience in a project based environment.

 

In compliance with California pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $68,500-$127,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
