Job Description: Assemble hardware for Space/Intel products using SMT automated equipment. This position requires the ability to operate MYCRONIC Pick-and-Place machines, DEK/ASMPT solder paste printers, and Heller Industries reflow ovens. Additionally, candidates must be able to work under microscopes and with hot plates. The role also demands the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on quality and attention to detail.  

 

Essential Functions:

  • Proficient in the MYDATA/MYCRONIC Package and Component.
  • Experienced in working with Bills of Material (BOM’s), drawings and routings, as well as from verbal and written instructions.
  • Familiar with operating Mycronic/MYDATA pick and place equipment.
  • Skilled in using DEK/ASM stencil solder paste printing equipment.
  • Experienced with solder reflow ovens.
  • Capable of setting-up, operating and performing light preventive maintenance on SMT equipment.
  • Able to hand place components when necessary.
  • Knowledgeable in identifying common SMT defects.
  • Proficient in performing multiple tasks on an assigned team, project, or functional area.
  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
  • Participate in program or functional team projects, developing process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures to enhance program quality, cost, and scheduling.
  • May provide training to less experienced team members.
  • Hand soldering skill is a plus.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who are certified in J-STD-001
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance

 

Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 2 years of prior related experience.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Ability to read documentation, drawings, and process control instructions. 
  • Familiarity with basic computing environments (Windows)

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $22.83/hr- $42.54/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
