Job Description:
We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repair, and upkeep on a variety of equipment within our facility. This person will work closely with our EHS team on the removal of hazardous waste materials (alcohol & d-limonene) and miscellaneous inspections. This position will do everything related to the maintenance and upkeep of a building. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic tools and how to use them.
Essential Functions:
· Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on facility equipment and systems, including electrical and mechanical systems.
· Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment and systems, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
· Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment and systems are operating efficiently.
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work requests and inventory of supplies and parts.
· Collaborate with other members of the Facilities team to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
· Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure personal and team safety during maintenance and repair tasks.
· Assist in the planning and execution of facility and manufacturing upgrades and renovations.
· Provide recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving measures related to facility maintenance operations.
· Assist EHS team with removal of hazardous waste and miscellaneous inspections.
· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications (one of the following):
· High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience
· 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
· High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or a related field is preferred.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facility maintenance or operations repair, with a proven track record of hands-on experience.
· Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
· Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
· Proficiency with maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
· Experience with maintaining and troubleshooting industrial equipment.
· Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
· Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate with vendors and contractors.
· Experience in Mycronic, Ersa, DEK, MPM equipment and other related manufacturing equipment.
· Experience with Pick and Place, X-Ray, Reflow Ovens, Screen Printers, and other related manufacturing equipment.
· Basic soldering skills.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $47,500 - $88,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
