Job Description:  
L3Harris in San Diego, CA is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to support the design and manufacturing of Special Test Equipment (STE) for Space Telemetry and RF Products. As an RF technician, you will be directly involved in assembly, and integration and test of STE. This includes building cables, assembling and/or reworking Printed Wiring Assemblies (PWAs), integrating RF equipment/devices and digital or analog equipment and devices. You will be responsible for performing design verification testing and be a liaison between engineering and production test teams.
Essential Functions:  
•    Build automated test racks and other special test equipment (STE)
•    Independently perform verification testing of circuit cards and higher level STE assemblies
•    Troubleshoot STE HW and cables to the component level
•    Write Verification test procedures with minimal engineering assistance
•    Build Cables and PWAs for use on or with Special Test equipment
•    Provide STE field support to production teams
Qualifications: 
•    High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associate’s degree with a minimum of 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
•    Ability to obtain a DOD Secret security clearance
•    Minimum 2 years experience testing and troubleshooting circuit card assemblies
•    Minimum 4 years experience using basic electrical measurement equipment: digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, power supply, function generator, logic analyzer
•    Minimum 2 years experience using RF measurement equipment: signal generator, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, power meter
•    2 years of experience of demonstrated familiarity with basic RF parameters: bandwidth, reflection, S-Parameters, spurious and harmonic signals, noise figure, gain compression
•    2 years of experience of demonstrated familiarity with basic analog/digital/DC circuit parameters: voltage/current/power, logic levels, timing
Preferred Additional Skills: 
•    Experience with military or space qualified hardware designs
•    Experience performing design verification testing with
•    Experience Assembling, and reworking cables
•    Experience performing tests using lab equipment
•    Soldering certification or ability to obtain one
•    Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and assembly drawings
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $51,000 - $94,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
