Job Description:

The Stockroom Supervisor will report directly to the Stockroom manager and oversee stockroom operations to meet company objectives. Responsible for controlling and managing activities related to inventory control within the stockroom, including material storage, issuance, cycle counting, and training. Establishes and modifies operational methods, procedures, and training materials. Troubleshoots and rectifies inventory discrepancies and assists in day-to-day operations.

Essential Functions:

Supervise employees under their direct responsibility, conduct periodic performance reviews, issue warnings for substandard performance, and discipline employees as required.

Monitor stockroom operations to ensure timely and accurate issuance of materials to support manufacturing schedules.

Maintain compliance with DoD regulations, export control laws, and company policies.

Develop and implement strategies to improve stockroom processes, reduce material handling times, and minimize errors.

Coordinate with production, inventory, and scheduling teams to ensure seamless material flow and on-time delivery to the production floor.

Prepare and analyze stockroom reports to identify trends, resolve issues, and improve performance metrics.

Manage and maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation of discrepancies.

Ensure proper handling, storage, and documentation of hazardous materials, if applicable.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Knowledge of inventory control processes and experience with inventory management systems.

Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues quickly and efficiently, along with strong analytical skills to prepare and interpret data, generate reports, and make data-driven decisions.

Familiarity with warehouse management software (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (such as SAP), and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
