Job Description:
Our Supply Chain Management organization is hiring a Critical Material Manager (CMM). The Critical Material Manger is the point-of-contact between Supply Chain Management and Operations Project Management (OPM).
The candidate must be customer focused and possess the ability to develop innovative solutions to a variety of complex problems; have excellent verbal, written and presentation skills to accurately report findings and procurement status to a variety of audiences; and have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and guide cross functional teams, customers and other external partners. In addition to this skill set, the candidate will also be required to work critical path materials to final reciept for their respective programs.
Specific knowledge of material management, moving critical materials through operations and experience reporting material status.
Essential Functions:
- Support factory operation in regards to POs relating to, and impacting, floor support.
- Work critical path materials with the OPM
- Monthly Program Reviews and slide deck management.
- Work with suppliers on lead time reduction strategies for critical hardware
- Provide program status to Supply Chain Management
- Provide material status to PMO
- Help to facilitate completion of CIR & SIR by working with the suppliers and engineering
- Monitor diminished manufacturing resources (DMS)/vanished vendor risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Manage and work to resolve bad demand requisitions (BDR) table.
- Must have MS Office proficiency, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
- Structure part assignments to buyer specialist as needed.
- Cross-functional collaboration with Program Office, Procurement, Quality, Operations and Engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior procurement experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Proficiency with procurement software systems, preferably SAP.
- Proficiency with Siemens Teamcenter.
- Proficiency with reading and understanding blueprints, Bills of Materials.
- Experience in the aerospace & defense industry and experience with operations program management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills, quick reaction problem solving.
- Familiarity with Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and proprietary information / trade compliance.
- Understanding of the program management process as it relates to procured products within the context of L3Harris' policies and procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments.
- High-level attention to detail and dedication to thorough documentation.
