Job Schedule: 9/80 - Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Perform Deputy Program Manager functions for the premier Tactical Data Link program in the U.S. for over 100 U.S. platforms and over 30 International partner nations
• Participate in cost, schedule, performance assessments using Earned Value Management techniques; including risk and opportunity management
• Support tasking across multiple Firm Fixed Price production contracts and Repair/Upgrade contracts by reporting directly to the Program Manager and working closely with cross-functional teams from Operations, Test, QA, and Supply Chain, including supporting customer visits
• Facilitate efficient and improved shipping processes in direct support of Government contracts (both domestic and International)
• Assist in developing monthly Program Management Review materials in support of internal and external customer facing PMRs
• Coordinate and conduct the weekly Change Management Board activities by monitoring changes to Contracts, Engineering, and Supply Chain baselines
• Identify continuous improvement and cost reduction opportunities
• Provide concise reports to management on status, potential issues, risks, and solution recommendations
• Maintain constant communication to ensure a healthy flow of programmatic and operational information between the PMO in Carlsbad, CA, and the Operations activities in Salt Lake City, UT
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Project / Program Management experience with Government DoD contracts
• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• Active U.S. Secret Clearance (or ability to receive a clearance)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in Government Program Management office or supporting logistics supply chain activities
• PMP or equivalent certification
• Strong leadership skills and ability to drive change
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel software
• Familiarity with MRP and CRM software programs is beneficial
• Experience with International FMS
• Ability to travel 10-20% of the time
