As an essential member of the L3Harris Contracts Team, you will be responsible for a comprehensive suite of functions that ensure the success and integrity of our contract management process.
Essential Functions:
· Senior Manager, Contracts leading the NDLS Division contracts organization.
· Provide contractual leadership for a mix of U.S. government and commercial opportunities, adapting strategies to varying customer expectations, legal frameworks, and business models.
· Establish and drive implementation of contract policies, processes, and procedures to ensure achievement of segment and corporate goals.
· Provide leadership, oversight, direction, and guidance of compliance awareness with contract and regulatory requirements as well as L3Harris policies and procedures.
· Review proposals to ensure they meet company policy and customer solicitation requirements; determine the applicability of government/international laws and regulations.
· Utilize risk management methodologies to assess and minimize risk to the company.
· Lead team in negotiation preparation and negotiation execution to ensure L3Harris enters strong deals.
· Work closely with government contacts and multi-function corporate representatives i.e., program management, engineering, finance, legal, trade compliance, etc.
· Participate in initiatives; promote continuous improvement and best in class contracting.
· Expert knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations, licensing, ITAR/EAR, and CAS.
· Requires broad management and leadership skills with experience in leading and mentoring a team of contract professionals to achieve departmental and business goals and objectives.
· Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize contract processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes.
· Strong communication with parties within and outside of the organization. Works to influence others to accept team's views or practices and agree/accept new concepts, practices, and approaches. Requires ability to communicate and influence leadership regarding matters of substantial importance.
· Demonstrated ability to negotiate and finalize complex contracts, including pricing, terms, and conditions to maximize value and mitigate risks.
· Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills necessary for working in a collaborative and positive team environment.
· Eligible to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
· Advanced education within the discipline or an MBA
· NCMA professional certifications (CPCM, CFCM, etc.)
· Currently holds an Active Top Secret or Active Secret security clearance.
