Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate, Electronics Test/Repair Technician to join our technical team in the Integrated Acoustic Sensors business. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in diagnostic testing, repair, and maintenance of complex electronic systems and components. This role involves both hands-on troubleshooting and collaboration with engineers to ensure optimal device performance, reliability, and quality standards.
Essential Functions:
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics, testing, and repair of electronic assemblies, modules, and devices.
- Utilize oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and other advanced test equipment.
- Evaluate circuit performance and identify faults in analog, digital, and mixed-signal components.
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration procedures in accordance with company standards.
- Maintain accurate repair logs, test reports, and documentation of all activities.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement design improvements based on field failures and test results.
- Train and mentor junior technicians to strengthen the team’s technical expertise.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality procedures, and industry standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years, associate degree + 4 years, bachelor’s degree +2 years, or a graduate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Hands-on experience with surface-mount and through-hole components.
- Strong knowledge of power electronics and microcontroller-based systems.
- Expertise in a broad range of testing equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and digital multimeters.
- Knowledge of soldering, component replacement, and PCB rework techniques.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Prior experience with automated test equipment (ATE) or in a manufacturing test environment.
- Familiarity with ISO9001/AS9100 quality standards and Six Sigma principles.
- Ability to interpret failure analysis reports and suggest corrective actions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-department collaboration.
- Ability to lift around 30lbs, move and stand
