Job Description: 

A high energy coordination role that requires leadership, project management and capacity planning expertise to effectively manage shared resources in support of numerous individual projects. This role works closely with multiple stakeholders and functional organizations to determine production needs, program risks, throughput variances, and corrective action plans. Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, coordination, negotiation, scheduling, and planning skills are essential for success. 

Area Schedulers will conduct detailed analysis to identify production demand levels that significantly exceed or drop below normal capacity levels. Area Scheduling will develop plans to address variable product demand levels while working with manufacturing, test, inspection, and project management organizations to ensure factory success.

Area Scheduling will lead daily reviews on production schedule needs and any necessary mitigation plans associated with backlogs or underutilization.

Successful applicants will need to demonstrate leadership skills. Applicants must also be comfortable using leadership and advanced communication tactics to work through complex problems and conflicting demands to effectively represent multiple stakeholders.

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Expert communication – Must be able to communicate with key stakeholders to understand and represent risks and opportunities.
  • Leadership – Must be comfortable leading large meetings, initiatives and reporting progress to all levels of management. 
  • Technological proficiency – Should be comfortable learning ERP tools and principals, desktop applications, analytics tools, and familiarity with metrics to perform job functions.
  • Project Management – Requires familiarity with project management principles such as planning, resource planning, project scheduling, cost management, variance analysis, mitigation planning, risk analysis, and stakeholder communication.
  • Time Management- Must be able to efficiently manage time and efforts and align with own roles and tasks, but also with multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Due to the nature of the work, this position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. 

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Professional experience in Project Management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability in business and/or technical writing, public speaking, and creating formal presentations is desired.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and demonstrate ability to analyze data using graphs and pivot tables and present concerns and information to stakeholders.
