Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Buyer to join our dynamic Procurement & Supply Chain team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing procurement strategies for technically complex products, ensuring that materials and services are sourced effectively, and following company policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:

  •      Manage the procurement process for complex technical products.
  •        Plan material and service requirements, source or acquire materials and services, and manage supplier relationships.
  •        Conduct competitive and sole source solicitations, ensuring compliance with company policies and achieving the best value.
  •        Negotiate contract terms, including price and payment terms.
  •        Negotiate long-term pricing agreements with suppliers.
  •        Conduct award analysis and document negotiations effectively.
  •        Ensure procurement activities are compliant with US Government regulations (FAR/DFARS), Global Trade requirements, and Anti-Corruption policies.
  •        Coordinate with Contracts, Compliance, and Program Office on required or unique flow-down clauses.

Required Qualifications:

  •        Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

·       Preferred Additional Skills:

  •        Proficiency with procurement software systems, preferably SAP.
  •        Experience in the aerospace & defense industry and familiarity with buying communications equipment is highly desirable.
  •        Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  •        Ability to problem-solve and provide innovative solutions to complex supply chain related problems.
  •        Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  •        Familiarity with Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and proprietary information handling.
  •        Understanding of the procurement process within the context of L3Harris' policies and procedures.
  •        Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments.
  •        High-level attention to detail and dedication to thorough documentation.
