Shift: 1st Shift (Monday - Friday), 9/80 (employee's work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off)

 

The Communications and Spectrum Dominance sector in Salt Lake City, UT is looking for an operations supervisor to join our team. The Operations Sr. Supervisor supervises individual(s) typically consisting of support-level employees as well as professional employees.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Lead and manage a team of frontline employees to achieve operational excellence and meet goals, developing strategies to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Monitor team performance, provide feedback and coaching, ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Oversee daily operations, including resource allocation, workflow management, and problem resolution while collaborating with cross-functional teams for continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and present performance reports, identify improvement areas, and foster a positive, inclusive work environment encouraging teamwork and communication.
  • Handle escalated issues, support recruitment, onboarding, training of new team members, and apply practical knowledge of Operations (Manufacturing/Test/Engineering).

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

  • Experience in manufacturing or production preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Success in driving cultural change and fostering continuous improvement.
  • Strong networking skills and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
